Conservation & Teaching volunteers

My brother Olly (right) and I had an incredible adventure in Zambia while volunteering with Yellowstripe Foundation. We lived in national parks and game reserves, working in conservation and encountering incredible wildlife daily. We also spent a month in a rural community teaching at a local school, creating unforgettable memories along the way. Friends and associates of Yellowstripe supported us throughout—welcoming us to Africa for the first time and helping shape a truly life-changing experience.
Volunteer & Intern Stories
Medical volunteer

Volunteering in Zambia with Yellowstripe was an experience I’ll never forget. I went over as a nursing student, and getting the chance to share what I knew while learning from others was so valuable—it really helped build the confidence I have as a nurse today. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms, and the Yellowstripe team made sure we were supported the whole way through. I honestly couldn’t recommend it more. I had the best time in Zambia and can’t wait to go back one day.
MEDICAL & COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER

Volunteering at the clinic was eye-opening, offering a glimpse into daily life in communities with limited healthcare access. I was grateful for the opportunity to help where I could and start learning Bemba to better connect with the patients. Working with children at the orphanage was equally rewarding, as we taught, played, and learned from them. This trip was truly unforgettable. From camping in the bush with giraffes and hippos, to volunteering in a local medical clinic, every moment was impactful. I had the chance to explore stunning landscapes and witness wildlife like elephants, lions, and crocodiles up close, while learning about the importance of ecosystem preservation.
